Recently, foreign media outlets have leaked images of the Nubia S2R, suggesting it will likely be an entry-level phone.
Specifically, the Nubia S2R features a punch-hole screen with a front-facing camera, and noticeable bezels, perhaps a compromise in screen bezel design due to cost considerations. The right side of the screen houses volume buttons, a power button, and a red physical button, possibly a shortcut button. The SIM card slot is located on the left side for easy SIM card insertion and removal. The back features only a single rear camera and an LED flash, consistent with the cost-control requirements of entry-level models.
According to CNMO, Nubia will also soon launch a mid-range phone emphasizing cost-effectiveness—the Nubia V80 Design—expected to debut in markets such as the Philippines. This new phone boasts several design highlights.
In terms of design, the Nubia V80 Design's camera module adopts a similar style to the iPhone 17 Pro series, giving it a distinctive look. The camera module features an LED flash in the upper right corner and a red circular "Neo" logo in the lower right corner. The right side of the phone integrates ZTE's signature red power button and volume control buttons. The left side houses the SIM card slot and a dedicated custom button. Furthermore, the Nubia V80 Design retains a rare 3.5mm headphone jack to the left of the USB-C port.
