On November 12th, a blogger revealed that Huawei will focus on launching its Mate flagship phones, both the candybar and foldable models, in the second half of the year, with both products "fully prepared and ready to go." Simultaneously, Huawei plans to conduct a comprehensive "TTT" (Train the Trainer) training program next Monday to strengthen synergy across its entire ecosystem. However, the highly anticipated mid-range nova 15 series is "likely to be absent in December."
Previously, multiple media outlets reported that Huawei would implement a "dual flagship" strategy in the fourth quarter of 2025: the Mate 80 series was expected to debut in November, while the nova 15 series was originally scheduled for a December launch. This adjustment may be related to Huawei's resource allocation—the company is concentrating on ensuring the production capacity and promotion of the Mate series flagships and accelerating internal training on full-scenario interconnectivity. Furthermore, optimization of the supply chain and product schedule may also be a factor in the nova 15's delay.
According to CNMO, the Huawei nova 15 series features a comprehensive upgrade in configuration, with significant improvements in imaging, communication, screen, and battery life. All models will come standard with two-way BeiDou satellite communication, significantly enhancing communication capabilities in outdoor and emergency scenarios. The Pro and Ultra versions are also expected to support dual-mode Tiantong satellite communication, maintaining contact even in extreme environments.
Regarding imaging, the entire Huawei nova 15 series is expected to feature a 50MP main camera with a red maple color sensor and support a physical variable aperture. The Pro version adds a 1.5MP depth sensor and upgrades the front camera to a dual-lens setup. As for the screen, the nova 15 series adopts a 1.5K OLED flat/curved screen design, supports a 120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, and features a Kunlun 2nd generation flagship-customized eye-protection screen.
