Samsung's new mid-range smartphone, the A37, has appeared on the company's internal test server for the first time, with the model number SM-A376U. The "U" suffix indicates it's a version targeting the US market. The related test firmware also explicitly mentions major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and UScellular, suggesting widespread distribution in North America.
While official hardware specifications for the Samsung A37 have not yet been released, its appearance aligns with the update schedule of Samsung's A series. For reference, its predecessor, the Samsung A36, was released in March 2025, featuring a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. It was only 7.4mm thick and weighed 195g, maintaining a slim and lightweight design while still boasting IP67 dust and water resistance.
In terms of performance, the Samsung A36 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile platform and runs One UI 7 based on Android 15. The imaging system consists of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens, while the front-facing camera is 12MP. For battery life, it features a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging.
Notably, Samsung has committed to providing the A36 with six years of operating system and security updates, meaning software support will continue until 2031. Given the continuity of the A-series product strategy, the Samsung A37 is highly likely to inherit this long-term support commitment and offer minor upgrades to the core user experience.
