XMG releases compact gaming laptop with RTX 5070 and fast display

XMG has released the Fusion 15 laptop, positioned as a gaming machine. Key features of the new model include high-performance hardware from Intel and NVIDIA, ample memory, and a gaming-grade display.

This laptop features a 15.3-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1600 and a refresh rate of 300Hz. The panel covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and has a peak brightness of 500 cd/m².

The performance of this new device is powered by a 16-core Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, paired with 16GB of DDR5-6400 memory (two SO-DIMM slots, upgradable to 128GB). Storage capacity is 1TB (with one available M.2/PCIe 4.0 slot).

Depending on the model, this laptop comes equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, RTX 5060, or RTX 5070 discrete graphics card, and features the ability to bypass the integrated graphics to reduce image latency. According to the brand, its built-in 99.8Wh battery provides up to 10 hours of online video playback.

The cooling system (including two fans, a copper fin heatsink, and Honeywell PTM7958 phase-change thermal paste) can be configured using a dedicated tool. Furthermore, the power limits for the GPU (50–115 W) and CPU (10–90 W) can also be adjusted.

Other features of this laptop include an RGB backlit keyboard (with full N-key rollover) and a webcam (Full HD with privacy shutter). It measures 342 x 236 x 22 mm and weighs 1.95 kg.

The interface includes HDMI 2.1 and 2.0 ports, mini-DisplayPort 2.1, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, three USB-A ports, Ethernet, a headphone jack, an SD card slot, and a Wi-Fi 7 module.

The XMG Fusion 15 starts at €1,549 in Europe for a version with an RTX 5050 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.
