ADATA launches smartphone SSD with mobile power function

ADATA has unveiled an unusual accessory that combines the functions of three devices. It combines a solid-state drive, a MagSafe power bank, and a phone holder into a single protective case.

The ADATA SR800 Magnetic Power Bank SSD comes with a 1TB or 2TB SSD and boasts read and write speeds of up to 2000MB/s. This portable SSD also has a built-in 5000mAh battery and can be used to transfer data to and from a smartphone via two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports.

The wireless charging coil delivers 15W of power, while the USB port provides 20W of power in charging mode. This new device is compatible with iPhones and other mobile devices. The SSD can be removed from the case and used as a power bank on its own.

Availability and pricing for both models of the ADATA SR800 Magnetic Power Bank SSD will be announced later.
