AMD has released two new mobile processor series: Ryzen 10 and Ryzen 100. However, in terms of specifications, they're more like rebranded versions of existing chips that have been on the market for years.
The Ryzen 100 series is essentially a rebranded Ryzen 6000U series processor, featuring Zen 3+ architecture cores. The flagship of the series is the eight-core Ryzen 7 170 (with a maximum clock speed of 4.75 GHz and integrated Radeon 680M graphics), equivalent to the Ryzen 7 6800U released in 2022. The series also includes the more affordable Ryzen 7 160, Ryzen 5 150, Ryzen 5 130, and Ryzen 3 110.
The Ryzen 10 series consists of just two processors based on the Zen 2 architecture: the quad-core Ryzen 3 30 and Ryzen 3 40, both with integrated Radeon 610M graphics. Their predecessors are the Ryzen 3 7320U and Ryzen 5 7520U, respectively.
It's unclear which laptops will be the first to feature this "old-meets-new" CPU.
