Over the past few years, Sapphire has been expanding its AMD motherboard product line to offer a richer portfolio and gain a larger market share, with many models initially launched in mainland China. Two months ago, Sapphire welcomed two new members to its Polar series: the PURE Polar B850A WIFI and PURE Polar B850M WIFI motherboards, featuring a pure white Polar design language and providing new options for PC hardware enthusiasts.
Recently, some netizens revealed that Sapphire plans to further expand the Polar series, offering a higher-end product: the PURE X870A. It features a 16+2+1 phase power supply, retains the pure white Polar design language, and is built around white, gray, and silver elements. It has an ATX form factor and is based on the AMD X870 chipset, clearly a higher-end product than those based on the B850 chipset.
Based on leaked product renders, the PURE X870A offers three full-length PCIe slots, four DIMM memory slots, dual 8-pin CPU power connectors, and a Wi-Fi 7 wireless network card module. It's expected to have three M.2 slots, and the primary PCIe slot should support the PCIe 5.0 standard. Like other Polar series products, users can flexibly control the case's lighting effects through the new Trixx-M software and Windows 11's dynamic lighting settings, creating a unique PC appearance.
The release date and pricing of the PURE X870A motherboard are currently unknown. According to VideoCardz, a French distributor has already listed it for €279 (approximately RMB 2289.06).
