UBTECH Robotics recently announced that it has won a bid for the Humanoid Robot Data Acquisition and Training Center project in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, with a winning bid amount of 143 million yuan. This project will utilize its latest Walker S2 industrial humanoid robot, capable of autonomous battery swapping, further promoting the application of humanoid robots in industrial scenarios. To date, the total order amount for UBTECH's Walker series humanoid robots in 2025 has reached 1.3 billion yuan (excluding the "Tiangong Xingzhe" and "AI Wukong" series), significantly accelerating its commercialization process.
This year, UBTECH's humanoid robots have repeatedly broken order records: in September, it secured the world's largest procurement contract at 250 million yuan; in October, it won a project worth 126 million yuan; and in November, it successively secured orders worth 159 million yuan, 264 million yuan (breaking the global record for the largest single order), and now this 143 million yuan order. Behind the flurry of large orders is UBTECH's rapid capacity expansion—in mid-November, Walker S2 mass production and delivery commenced, with the first batch of several hundred units deployed in frontline industrial applications. Current monthly production capacity has reached 300 units, and the total annual delivery volume is expected to exceed 500 units.
The Jiujiang project aims to establish Jiangxi Province's first technologically advanced humanoid robot data collection and training center with broad application scenarios, contributing to the high-quality development of the local robotics industry. UBTECH stated that with the mass production and delivery of Walker S2 and the continued fulfillment of orders, the company is accelerating the large-scale application of humanoid robots in the industrial sector.
