Opera has released a major update to its AI browser, Neon, introducing an innovative "1-Minute Deep Dive" mode designed to balance the needs of quick queries and in-depth analysis. According to the official introduction cited by IT Home, this mode breaks down complex problems and utilizes multiple AI threads for parallel processing, generating more in-depth results than standard AI summaries in a short time, effectively bridging the gap between simple queries and comprehensive research.
This update also features a significant upgrade to Neon Chat, adding a model selector and integrating Google's newly released Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro large language models. Users can switch models at any time during conversations to flexibly handle complex tasks, such as using Gemini 3 Pro for professional analysis, while Nano Banana Pro is suitable for lightweight interactions. Furthermore, Neon's "Do" feature now supports seamless collaboration with Google Docs, allowing users to create or edit documents using natural language commands, and even add content online, significantly improving work efficiency.
Opera Neon is a subscription-based service, costing $19.99 per month (approximately 141.8 RMB). Applications for the new features are currently open; users can join the waiting list through the official website. This update further strengthens Neon's position as an AI productivity tool, and its multi-model collaboration and document automation capabilities may become a new industry benchmark.
