On November 17th, Huawei announced that the launch event for the Mate 80 series, Mate X7, and other new products across all scenarios would be held on November 25th. Yu Chengdong, Huawei's Executive Director, Chairman of the Product Investment Committee, and Chairman of the Terminal BG, shared a video today, revealing the actual appearance of the Huawei Mate 80 series for the first time.
The video shows that the Huawei Mate 80 series continues the series' previous circular camera module design, but below the camera module, there is a similarly sized light-colored ring, which, according to previous leaks, is a magnetic ring, compatible with magnetic accessories.
Yu Chengdong's Weibo post confirmed that the Huawei Mate 80 series will be the first to launch a Pro Max version. Blogger @DigitalChatStation leaked information: Huawei's Mate 80 series + Mate X7 foldable screen are scheduled for release on November 25th. The larger version is confirmed to be named "Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max." The actual appearance of the device has also been leaked, featuring the 3D face recognition, a large flat screen, and the classic Deco design. Of course, the focus of this generation is still the Kirin 9030 processor, with up to 20GB of RAM, setting a new high for domestic manufacturing processes and performance.
According to reports, the leak suggests that the Huawei Mate 80 series will include two main versions, codenamed Voyager and Sagittarius, a standard version and a Pro version. These two versions will differ in charging configuration: the standard version will be equipped with 66W wired charging technology, while the Pro series will use 100W wired charging technology. The new series is also expected to feature 3D face recognition across the entire range. Furthermore, the Huawei Mate 80 series will embrace a magnetic ecosystem, adopting a magnetic ring + external magnetic case design.
