In August of this year, ASUS launched its new flagship graphics card: the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090. This is a limited edition card, with only 1000 units produced to commemorate ASUS's 30th anniversary in the graphics card business. It is currently available at the ASUS US store for $3999 (approximately RMB 28424.09).
Contrary to previous rumors, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 does not employ a liquid cooling design. Instead, it continues the design philosophy of the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 50 series, featuring a four-fan air-cooling system that increases airflow and air pressure by up to 20%. It also incorporates liquid metal thermal conductive materials, a vapor chamber, and a high-density fin module. Furthermore, it supports BTF 2.5 design, further highlighting ASUS's new attempts in graphics card cooling and structure.
The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 measures 357.6 x 149.3 x 76 mm and is 3.8 slots thick. Featuring the classic red and black ROG logo, it uses a rounded infinity mirror design and a unique ring on the rear fan with an acrylic panel bearing the "ROG MATRIX" logo. It also supports Aura Sync lighting effects, easily creating customized lighting effects with other compatible devices.
In addition to the standard 12V-2×6 power connectors, ASUS has included a detachable GC-HPWR power connector, ensuring compatibility with standard and BTF motherboards. The dual power input design supports up to 800W of power, significantly exceeding the reference design's 575W. The boost clock speed reaches 2730MHz, 323MHz higher than the reference design's 2407MHz, a 13.4% increase.
