Over the past few years, the continuous development of OLED display technology has driven the overall sales of OLED monitors. Especially in the last two years, Samsung has begun to focus on QD-OLED, and LG has been continuously updating its W-OLED technology. More and more brands are adding OLED monitors to their product lines, offering a wider range of panel specifications and higher image quality and refresh rates to meet the needs of different user groups.
According to the latest research from TrendForce, shipments in the third quarter of 2025 increased by 65% year-on-year and 12% quarter-on-quarter, reaching approximately 644,000 units. Driven by active sales from panel manufacturers and brand manufacturers, total shipments for 2025 are expected to reach 2.62 million units, with a year-on-year growth rate of 84%.
In the third quarter of 2025, ASUS surpassed Samsung to become the market leader, increasing its market share to 21.9%, marking its first time achieving the top spot in quarterly shipments. This success is attributed to its comprehensive product line, the influence of ROG in the gaming monitor market, and the ProArt professional products targeting creators, which cater to the needs of diverse consumers. Considering its comprehensive product strategy and continuous innovation, combined with ASUS's image in the mid-to-high-end market, it is expected to top the shipment charts for the entire year of 2025.
While MSI remains in third place, its position is not entirely secure. LG slipped to fifth place last quarter due to a production relocation, but returned to fourth place in the third quarter after completing the relocation and launching new products. Entering the fourth quarter, with increased sales of new products and strong promotions on 45-inch and larger models, LG has a chance to challenge for third place.
