Recently, a tech blogger revealed that the Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to officially debut on November 25th, with all models equipped with the new generation Kirin 9030 processor and featuring multiple upgrades in screen, facial recognition, and heat dissipation.
According to the leak, Huawei's launch schedule is tight: internal confidential training began on November 12th, pre-launch hype started on November 17th, and the official launch event will be held on November 25th. The Mate 80 series is expected to launch with five models, including a standard version, a Pro version, a Pro+ version, an RS Master Edition, and a "mystery model" equipped with an active cooling fan.
CNMO also learned that the entire Huawei Mate 80 series may come standard with the Kirin 9030 chip, with the Pro+ version featuring a 6.9-inch 2848×1320 resolution screen. The Pro and higher models will continue the slightly curved screen design, while the standard version will use a flat screen. The blogger also speculated that this may be the last time the Huawei Mate series features a slightly curved screen.
Furthermore, the entire Huawei Mate 80 series supports 3D structured light facial recognition, enhancing unlocking and payment security. It comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 6, further optimizing cross-device collaboration and providing a smooth user experience.
Industry observers point out that the Mate 80 series is Huawei's most important high-end flagship for the second half of this year, and the full integration of the Kirin 9030 chip signifies a key breakthrough for Huawei in chip self-development and supply chain independence. As late November approaches, more product details are expected to be revealed through official teasers.
