Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Shadows will receive a 1.1.6 update on November 25, 2025, at 10 PM Beijing time. This update will include a collaboration with the anime Attack on Titan, adding a new free story mission to the game. This is a limited-time event, ending on December 22nd.

According to the storyline, a mysterious and power-hungry faction has infiltrated feudal Japan, using kidnapped Titan shapeshifters as weapons, aiming for total domination. The protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, must team up with the sole survivor to prevent the release of Titans that could launch a terrifying attack on Japan. Players will receive Naoe's unique "Crystal Katana" and decorative items for their hideout. In addition, a paid cosmetic item pack inspired by *Attack on Titan* will be available in the in-game store, including Yasuke's Titan-themed outfit, Naoe's Mikasa-themed outfit, weapons, and a Survey Corps mount.
Besides the collaboration content, a new free quest, "Puzzle," will be added, where Naoe and Yasuke will engage in a friendly duel to hone their combat skills and exchange deeper combat experience. Version 1.1.6 will also include several optimizations to the "Corrupted Castle" mode, fix known issues, and improve overall game stability. The update size will range from 4.4GB to 14.7GB depending on the platform.
