The striking two-seater electric car, the Longbow Speedster, developed by startup Longbow Motors, has made its UK debut. Limited to 150 units, the new model is expected to begin production in 2026.
The electric car will be available in two versions: the Speedster, weighing only 895 kg, and the slightly heavier Roadster. Its 322 hp (240 kW) electric motor is mounted on an aluminum chassis and features a lightweight composite body.
The driving range is expected to be 443–451 km, implying a battery capacity of approximately 60 kWh. The manufacturer has not yet released information on the battery composition or charging speed. Previous rumors suggested the car uses 2170-type battery cells, but this has been denied by the company.
The Speedster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, while the Roadster takes 3.6 seconds. The Speedster starts at $111,500, and the Roadster at $85,000. Both models will be available in left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions in the European market. Sales plans for other regions have not yet been announced.
