
On November 7th, reports indicated that Elon Musk stated at Tesla's annual shareholder meeting that the Tesla Roadster 2 sports car will be unveiled on April 1st next year, with production starting 12 to 18 months after the announcement.
According to reports, Tesla ceased production of its original Roadster sports car in 2012 and unveiled the Roadster 2 in 2017. Originally planned for production in 2020, its launch date has been delayed annually.
The Tesla Roadster is equipped with a drive motor producing 10,000 N·m of torque at each wheel, features an all-wheel-drive system, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, accelerates from 0 to 160 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 400 km/h. Furthermore, the new car will be equipped with a 200 kWh battery, offering a range of 1000 km.
