Sharp, the Japanese company known for its televisions, unveiled the LDK+ concept car. This electric vehicle is designed to extend smart home technology into the car's interior, allowing the space to be easily converted into a relaxation area, office, or mobile cinema.
LDK stands for Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen. In the updated version, Sharp opted for a large SUV styling, featuring a rotating driver's seat, a folding table, and a built-in projector.
In the rear of the vehicle, you can lower the screen to watch movies or hold online meetings, or use the car as a relaxation space as needed.
Unlike the first version in 2024 (designed as a minivan with a 65-inch display and rooftop solar panels), the updated LDK+ is more practical.
The vehicle can connect to home solar panels and energy storage systems, helping to distribute electricity between the home and the car. Developed in collaboration with Foxconn, the new LDK+ was unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo on October 30th.
