On October 30, 2025, Samsung released its third-quarter financial report, which also revealed information about its next-generation flagship, the Galaxy S26. Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung Mobile Experiences (MX), stated that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will "revolutionize the user experience by focusing on the user, employing next-generation artificial intelligence, a second-generation custom AP, and more powerful performance (including a new camera sensor)."
The "second-generation custom AP" mentioned here is likely the new Exynos 2600 chip, which is reportedly expected to be the first smartphone chip using a 2nm process.
However, based on past practices, Samsung may plan to use its own Exynos 2600 chip in some markets for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series models, while in markets such as the US, China, and Japan, it will still use Qualcomm's latest fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra.
Another report states that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will also feature a new Exynos connectivity chip for handling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions, potentially replacing the Qualcomm solution currently used in the S25 series.
