
A recent market research report released by Jon Peddie Research shows that global PC client-based GPU shipments reached 76.6 million units in the third quarter of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 4% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2.5%. PC CPU shipments increased to 65 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2.2%.
In the third quarter of 2025, AMD's overall GPU market share increased by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter, while Nvidia and Intel both decreased by 0.1% and 0.9% respectively. In terms of overall GPU market share, Intel leads by a wide margin with 61%, followed by Nvidia at 24% and AMD at 15%. These figures cover shipments of all integrated graphics, discrete graphics, and integrated graphics. In terms of growth trends, Nvidia made significant progress, surging from 18% in the same period last year to 24%, while Intel's share decreased from 65% to 61%, and AMD's from 17% to 15%.
As for CPU shipments, AMD's market share increased by 1% compared to the previous quarter, while Intel's market share decreased by 0.8%. Currently, desktop CPUs hold a 30% market share, while mobile CPUs account for the remaining 70%, a proportion consistent with the same period last year.
In the third quarter of 2025, the overall connectivity rate of GPUs and PCs (including integrated and discrete graphics cards, desktops, laptops, and workstations) reached 120%, a 2.9% increase compared to the previous quarter. Nvidia, AMD, and Intel did not release any new graphics cards in the third quarter of 2025; new products are expected to be released in the first half of 2026.
