On November 25th, Huawei officially released the Mate X7 foldable phone. This model features the Kirin 9030 Pro SoC and supports the second-generation Red Maple Imaging System. The Collector's Edition boasts a 1/1.28-inch large-sensor RYYB sensor and supports a stylus and photography kit. The Huawei Mate X7 foldable phone is now available on e-commerce platforms.
Regarding the design, the Huawei Mate X7 uses materials such as woven cloud brocade and vegan leather depending on the color option, with an aluminum alloy frame. The phone weighs approximately 236 grams.
In terms of screen, the Huawei Mate X7 features a 6.49-inch OLED external screen with second-generation Kunlun glass (the Collector's Edition uses second-generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass), a resolution of 2444×1080, and supports a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The internal screen is an 8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2416×2210 and supports a peak brightness of 2500 nits. Both screens support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a maximum touch sampling rate of 240Hz, 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, P3 wide color gamut, and 1440Hz PWM dimming.
In terms of the imaging system, the Huawei Mate X7 features a 50MP main camera (F1.49-F4.0 10-stop physical variable aperture, RYYB sensor (1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor in the collector's edition), OIS optical image stabilization) + a 50MP telephoto camera (F2.2 aperture, RYYB sensor, supports 3.5x optical zoom) + a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera (F2.2 aperture, RYYB sensor) + two 8MP front-facing cameras (F2.4 aperture, same configuration for both internal and external screens) + a second-generation Maple Leaf primary color camera.
Regarding battery life and charging, the Huawei Mate X7 is equipped with a 5750mAh battery, supporting up to 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, and also supports reverse wireless charging.
In terms of other features, the Huawei Mate X7 supports IP58 & IP59 dust and water resistance, the standard version supports BeiDou satellite messaging, the collector's edition supports TianTong satellite communication, supports StarFlash E2.0, supports Wi-Fi 7, supports Bluetooth 6.0, supports GPS (L1+L5 dual-band) and BeiDou (B1I+B1C+B2a+B2b quad-band) satellite positioning, supports multi-functional NFC, supports infrared remote control, and has a USB 3.1 Gen1 interface that supports DP1.2.
