Huawei FreeClip 2 ear-clip headphones go on sale with 38-hour battery life

Huawei's official store announced that the HUAWEI FreeClip 2, Huawei's new open-ear headphones, will officially go on sale at 10:08 AM on October 20th. They'll initially be available in a Denim Blue colorway for 1,299 yuan, with a pre-sale discount of 1,249 yuan. These headphones retain their signature C-shaped bridge design, featuring a comfortable, secure fit and intelligent interactive experience. They also support app-based engraving for personalized listening.

The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 features an innovative "Dual Engine Driver" with an open dual-diaphragm acoustic architecture and a driver diameter of approximately 10.8mm, ensuring both high-quality sound and clarity. They also support spatial audio and require the Audio Manager app version 14.0.5.322 or higher, as well as a Huawei phone or tablet running HarmonyOS 3.0 or higher. Custom EQ is supported, with a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz.

The FreeClip 2 earbuds integrate the HarmonyOS AI ear assistant and support Xiaoyi voice wake-up. They are currently compatible with models running HarmonyOS 5.1 and above, including the HUAWEI Mate XTs and HUAWEI Pura 80 series. Continuous conversation and interruption features require an OTA update. The earbuds support HarmonyOS multi-device connectivity, enabling seamless switching between different Huawei devices. They also offer features like Smart Listening and HD recording.

For calls, the earbuds utilize dual microphones and a VPU sensor, combined with a large NPU model and Huawei's call noise reduction algorithm to enhance voice clarity. However, they do not support active noise cancellation or transparent transmission. They utilize Bluetooth 6.0 for connectivity, supporting dual-device connectivity and low-latency mode, and are compatible with devices running EMUI 11.0 or HarmonyOS 2.0 and above.

Battery life: The earbuds boast up to 9 hours of use on a single charge (in connection stability mode), and up to 38 hours with the charging case. Both wired and wireless charging are supported. The earphones themselves are IP57 dust and water resistant, and the charging box is IP54.
