After the release of the Galaxy S25 Edge, rumors circulated online that Samsung might abandon the Plus version of its flagship phone in favor of a new, thin model. However, media outlets have now surprisingly reversed these claims, claiming the opposite is true.
According to Sammobile, citing industry insiders, the cancellation of the sequel was due to poor sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. Therefore, while the company is developing a new, thin smartphone, it will not be released to market.
In addition, the newspaper reported that Samsung may discontinue production of existing models. According to one of the newspaper's sources, Samsung's sole purpose in launching the S25 Edge series is to compete with Apple, which has released the thin iPhone Air.
Samsung's new lineup is expected to consist of only three smartphones: the base Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung has not yet commented on these predictions.
