
ASUS has released the ROG Octopus 7 AI Gaming Router. This new router features a space-age design with a transparent window, high data transfer rates, and an NPU for accelerating AI tasks.
The router is powered by a quad-core Broadcom processor clocked at 2.6 GHz, 4GB of DDR4 RAM, and 32GB of eMMC flash storage. The processor's integrated NPU delivers up to 7.9 TOPS of computing power, enabling AI features and boosting data transfer speeds.
The router is equipped with dual 10G ports and tri-band Wi-Fi, delivering data transfer rates of up to 13,000 Mbps. According to the manufacturer, users will have access to dedicated acceleration channels when using it within the ROG ecosystem.
Thanks to its neural network processor, the router also supports AI acceleration features, such as automatically monitoring network status and shutting down unused features to save power.
AiMesh technology connects with other ASUS routers to provide seamless Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home. Additionally, the ROG Octopus 7 AI supports Docker containers and is compatible with the Home Assistant smart home platform.
The ASUS ROG Octopus 7 AI is priced at $980 in China.
