Xiaomi has launched a new disinfection device, the Mijia Smart Sterilizer. It boasts a large 25-liter capacity and can be used to sterilize baby products, tableware, and textiles. According to the company, the new device boasts a disinfection efficiency of up to 99.99%.
The device's interior is constructed from food-grade AISI 304 stainless steel. It features multiple pull-out shelves for storing items like baby bottles, plates, spoons, and toys. According to the company, the Mijia Smart Sterilizer features a dual disinfection system with 24 UV lamps covering a wavelength range of 260-270 nanometers.
The device effectively kills 35 microorganisms, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, influenza A virus, and Helicobacter pylori. According to the manufacturer, the antibacterial effect lasts for 72 hours, reducing secondary contamination. Users have two temperature settings: medium (75°C) for heat-resistant items and low (45°C) for more delicate items like plush toys and clothing.
A built-in negative ion system and a fine-fiber filter effectively remove odors. The nominal operating noise level is below 29.8 decibels. It also features a dedicated night mode for silent keystrokes and soft backlighting.
The Mijia Smart Sterilizer can be controlled via the Xiaomi Surge Smart Link or the Mijia mobile app, and can be synced with other Mijia products.
The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Sterilizer is now available on the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform for 999 yuan.
