At the beginning of 2019, few could have imagined that the mysterious action game Control would become a signature for Remedy Entertainment, a company previously known primarily for Max Payne. However, the action game has clearly resonated with players and generated substantial revenue for its developers—otherwise, the numerous updates and re-releases would be difficult to explain.
For example, Remedy recently announced a port of the game for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. This version will support touch controls, but traditional players can also connect a controller and experience the thriller in a traditional way. The game is expected to release in early 2026.
Unfortunately, other details about the portable version of Control remain a mystery. For example, Remedy didn't specify whether it would run directly on the Vision Pro headset or could be streamed from a Mac (thankfully, the action game has already been released for macOS).
Notably, a patch was recently released for the console version of the action game. It adds costumes previously only available via pre-order, HDR support, various technical improvements, and a Hideo Kojima-designed mission previously only available on PlayStation 4. A similar update was previously released for the PC version.
