Recently, a digital blogger revealed that Huawei's next-generation flagship Mate 80 series is expected to launch in mid-to-late November. The blogger revealed that Huawei had previously considered moving the launch event to October, but ultimately stuck with the original plan, opting for late November. This release cadence continues Huawei's traditional Mate series release schedule, aiming to compete with flagship models of the same period.
The Huawei Mate 80 series will include four models: the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and the Mate 80 RS. All will be powered by the next-generation Kirin 9030 processor, offering significant performance improvements over previous generations and employing an innovative active cooling system to reduce power consumption. The imaging system incorporates Red Maple technology, with the main camera featuring a 50-megapixel sensor with a ten-stop variable aperture for enhanced low-light photography. Furthermore, all models will feature a domestically produced 1.5K OLED screen, support 3D facial recognition, and a side fingerprint sensor. Battery life is expected to be a 6000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging.
Notably, the aforementioned blogger also previously revealed that, in addition to the Mate 80 series, Huawei plans to launch a uniquely positioned flagship candy-bar model in November. This model, which will not be part of the Mate 80 series, may feature a slim design, eSIM functionality, and even offer a 2TB storage version, complementing its position in the high-end market. While its specific specifications have not yet been disclosed, industry speculation suggests it may be released simultaneously with the Mate 80 series, further enriching Huawei's flagship product line.
