OnePlus announces upgrade details for the third-generation Oriental screen: lifespan improved by 30%

OnePlus has announced several upgraded details for its third-generation Oriental Screen.

This screen, jointly developed by OnePlus and BOE, utilizes a uniquely customized X3 luminescent material and is manufactured on a dedicated high-end production line, enhancing display quality from the ground up. Official data shows that the new screen achieves significant improvements in several key performance indicators, including a 30% increase in screen lifespan, a 13% increase in HBM-excited brightness, an 11.8% improvement in color shift, and a 10% reduction in power consumption, balancing performance and energy efficiency.

As the first feature on the OnePlus 15, the third-generation Oriental Screen features an ultra-narrow 1.15mm equilateral design, delivering a more balanced visual symmetry and a higher screen-to-body ratio, further reducing bezel width to industry-leading levels. In low-light environments, the screen supports full-scenario "True Hardware 1nit Dark Night Display" technology, maintaining color accuracy and uniform brightness even in extremely low light levels, ensuring clear, natural images and reducing visual fatigue during nighttime use.

In terms of eye protection, the third-generation Oriental Screen features the latest generation of "Bright Eye Protection" technology and has received the German Rhine TV Intelligent Eye Protection 5.0 "Gold Label" certification, becoming the first display solution in the industry to achieve this certification. This technology, combined with human factors engineering research, dynamically adjusts the light spectrum and brightness in different usage scenarios, enhancing comfort during extended viewing.

Furthermore, this screen is the world's first high-resolution display to support a 165Hz refresh rate. While achieving this ultra-high refresh rate, it still maintains top-notch clarity and transparency, breaking the traditional limitation of achieving both smoothness and detail. OnePlus stated that through a total of eight key technological breakthroughs, the third-generation Oriental Screen has set nine industry records in multiple dimensions, including brightness, color, lifespan, and energy efficiency, achieving "four major leaderships" and representing one of the highest levels of current smartphone screen technology.
