On October 13th, OnePlus China President Li Jie published a post, unveiling for the first time OnePlus's deep investment in the display field: its "self-developed display science production line," specifically designed for the third-generation Oriental Screen. He stated that while this isn't the most prominent selling point in product promotions, it's the core project the team has invested the most effort in and is most proud of.
To ensure the ultimate display quality of the third-generation Oriental Screen, OPPO has reportedly built a dedicated, high-precision screen production line. This line operates in a dust-free environment nearing aerospace-grade standards. Every pixel, every color, and every luminance uniformity of each screen undergoes meticulous calibration and repeated polishing before leaving the factory. Li Jie emphasized that very few companies globally possess such high-specification, independent display production lines; one is used for iPhone screen manufacturing, and the other belongs to OPPO.
This production line embodies the OnePlus screen R&D team's years of accumulated technical expertise and engineering experience. Its core goal is to ensure that every OnePlus 15 equipped with the third-generation Oriental Screen delivers a world-class visual experience. Through meticulous production and calibration processes, OnePlus strives to eliminate individual screen variations and achieve high consistency in color, brightness, and contrast, ensuring every screen reaches a level of quality they can be proud of.
OnePlus officially announced that its new, in-house developed Display Science production line has undergone comprehensive technological upgrades, encompassing 121 industry-leading process technologies, integrating 39 advanced calibration algorithms, and, for the first time, incorporating a 3nm chip for collaborative screen calibration, significantly improving calibration accuracy and efficiency. From raw material processing to final inspection, every step is rigorously controlled using a scientific and data-driven approach to ensure the consistent quality of mass-produced screens.
