ONYX releases the compact BOOX P6 Pro e-reader with a camera and 5G modem

ONYX has unveiled the compact BOOX P6 Pro e-reader, available with both monochrome and color displays. Not only is it similar in size to a smartphone, but it also features a 5G module and a built-in camera.

The ONYX BOOX P6 Pro features a 6.13-inch display with a resolution of 824 x 1684 pixels, available in either black and white E-Ink or color E-Ink Carta 1300 (4096 colors). The latter also supports a stylus. A 16-megapixel camera is located on the back, which supports QR code scanning.

The e-reader is powered by an unnamed octa-core Qualcomm processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage (expandable via microSD card). The battery capacity is 3950 mAh, but the manufacturer did not disclose battery life.

The monochrome version of the BOOX P6 Pro is priced at $353 in China, while the color version is $420. The Chinese market will go on sale on October 15th.
