Google is adding Gemini to its numerous services, and Google Maps appears to be next. These new features are already available in the latest beta version of the app.
The Gemini neural network will replace Google Assistant and can be activated by tapping the icon in the top right corner of the app's navigation interface. The icon itself will also change: instead of a microphone in Google's signature colors, it will now be a blue diamond.
In the Gemini app, you don't have to wade through various settings; simply respond to any user request. For example, you can ask the neural network to change your route during a trip or check the weather conditions along your route.
