Kia is preparing to launch its most compact and affordable electric vehicle. The EV2 is scheduled to go on sale in early 2026. The production version will retain most of the features of the concept car shown at Kia's EV Day.
According to Chief Designer Karim Habib, the differences between the concept car and the final model will be minimal, just as they were with the EV3 and EV4. The new electric vehicle will feature Kia's signature "Opposites United" design.
The EV2 will feature vertical, crossover-style proportions. The reverse-hinged rear doors featured on the concept car are still in the concept stage.
The electric vehicle will be produced at Kia's plant in Slovakia and is intended for European delivery. The new model will be priced at $35,000, slightly less than the EV3. It will debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January 2026.
