the japanese brand, casio, has added a new model to its lineup. the edifice suspension ecb-2300 is not a true smartwatch, but it does offer a number of features that conventional mechanical watches lack.
this new watch features a round stainless steel case with dimensions of 50.2 x 45.8 x 10.9 mm and weighs 122 grams. although it's a classic mechanical analog watch, unlike many similar models, it includes a bluetooth module and several features that work in conjunction with a mobile app.

the screen of this watch is covered by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. in addition to a timer, stopwatch, and alarm function, it also includes built-in backlighting, 10atm water resistance, and is powered by a built-in tough solar panel.
this new watch is priced at 41,800 yen (about $283 usd) in japan. it's not yet clear whether it will be available in other countries.
