the finnish company oura has released an upgraded version of its iconic smart ring, the "ring 4". while the basic functions remain the same, its durability and practicality have been greatly improved, and new colors have been added for everyday use.
the main difference between the new model and the original model is the case material, zirconium ceramic. according to oura, this material is less prone to fading, highly durable, and resistant to scratches on some metal surfaces.
the upgrade also resulted in changes to the device's dimensions. the thickness has increased from 2.88mm to 3.51mm, and the weight has increased from 5.1g to 8.1g. however, the mounting dimensions remain unchanged at 15.5mm to 25.5mm (russian standard). the functions remain the same, allowing for monitoring of blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and sleep quality.
another new feature is the ability to link multiple rings to the mobile app. the company also announced a new aluminum charging case that can fully charge the device five times.
the ceramic version of the oura ring 4 is available in four colors: white, pink, mint, and teal. the price in the united states is $499 for the ring and $99 for the charging case.
