the american technology company nvidia and the japanese communications and computer manufacturer fujitsu have agreed to collaborate in the field of artificial intelligence (ai). they will utilize nvidia's computer chips to develop intelligent robots and various innovative technologies.
according to reports, the two companies plan to cooperate in building an "ai infrastructure" to support various future ai applications in fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, the environment, next-generation computing, and customer services. the companies aim to establish this ai infrastructure in japan by 2030.
the companies said that the infrastructure will initially be customized for the japanese market, leveraging fujitsu's long-standing operational experience in the japanese market. subsequently, it will be deployed globally, utilizing nvidia's graphics processing units (gpus), which are at the core of ai technology.
fujitsu and nvidia have already collaborated in the ai field, leveraging digital twin technology and robotics to improve manufacturing efficiency and address labor shortages due to an aging population.
