Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 overclocking version score exposed: single core 3393 multi-core 11515

The running score data of the flagship model S26 Edge that Samsung will release is released on the Geekbench platform. According to the released information, the model is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 overclocked version mobile platform customized by Qualcomm for Samsung, with a single-core running score of 3393 points and a multi-core running score of 11515 points.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy mobile platform adopts a unique CPU architecture design, equipped with 2 4.74GHz ultra-large cores and 6 3.63GHz large cores. The blogger revealed that the frequency of the ordinary version used by domestic manufacturers is slightly lower than that of about 0.1X, about 4.6GHz. In terms of GPU, the platform is equipped with an Adreno 840 graphics processor, providing strong support for gaming and high-load applications.

Although the running scores have improved compared to the previous generation, since the Samsung S26 Edge focuses on ultra-thin design, the cooling capacity may be limited, resulting in a slightly conservative performance release. The blogger also said that the upgrade range of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile platform may not be as good as the leap from Snapdragon 8 Gen3 to 8 Elite, but its optimization in energy efficiency ratio and customization is still worth looking forward to.

According to official news from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile platform may be officially launched in September this year. Referring to the situation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile platform is very likely to be launched globally by Xiaomi 16 series models, and the first batch of domestic flagship models such as OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15 are installed.
