the tcl tablet family has added a new member. this compact tab 8 nxpaper 5g is equipped with a signature anti-glare display and supports black-and-white display mode, offering a viewing experience closer to that of modern e-ink readers.

the device features an 8.7-inch display with a resolution of 800x1340 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 hz, featuring a matte finish and equipped with a blue light filter. in reading mode, it can also simulate an e-ink panel.

the device is equipped with an unnamed octa-core processor, 4gb of ram, and 64gb of storage space. the 6000 mah battery provides up to 16 hours of battery life (up to 16 hours on a single charge, depending on usage mode).

the device's specifications also include a 5g data modem, stereo speakers, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. the tablet measures 211.88 x 125.58 x 8.35 mm and weighs 365 grams. the tcl tab 8 nxpaper 5g is now available in the united states at a price of $199.
