Apple iOS 26 Beta 6 released: 7 new ringtones, upgraded liquid glass effect

Apple today released iOS/iPadOS 26 Beta 6 (build number: 23A5318c) to developers, just six days after the last beta release. With the upcoming fall event, this update focuses on interface aesthetics and user experience, providing the final polish for the official release.

Regarding ringtones, Apple has added six new variations to the ‌Reflection‌ series, including ‌Buoyant‌, ‌Dreamer‌, and ‌Tech‌. ‌Reflected‌ is the official name for the "Alt 1" version in Beta 2. A refreshing ‌Little Bird‌ ringtone has also been added, providing users with more personalized options. Regarding interface interactions, the ‌Liquid Glass‌ effect has been further refined. System toggle buttons now display a dynamic, fluid sheen when clicked. The lock screen clock has increased transparency while retaining a matte texture. The password entry button has also been redesigned to a semi-transparent design, adding a richer visual layering.

Notably, Beta 6 reduces the transparency of the app navigation bar to improve text readability. It also speeds up app opening and closing animations and adds a subtle bounce effect, aligning with the animation style of the Control Center. In the Camera app, ‌Classic Mode‌ becomes the default, and users can no longer switch back to the old scrolling animation. Additionally, an introductory video will play upon first launch after the upgrade, explaining the design principles of ‌Liquid Glass‌.

Finally, the ‌Preview‌ app interface has received practical adjustments: the Create New Document and Scan Document buttons have been increased in size and moved to the bottom for easier operation. While primarily focused on minor refinements, this update, by unifying the animation style and strengthening visual consistency, lays a solid foundation for the official iOS 26 release.
