On September 22nd, Xiaomi officially announced the appearance details and some key specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 17, which will be officially released at 7 PM on September 25th.
The Xiaomi Mi 17, touted as "Xiaomi's most powerful standard flagship ever," boasts a unique design. The new phone will feature a 6.3-inch ultra-elliptical R-angle straight screen with ultra-narrow 1.18mm bezels and a 19.6:9 screen ratio. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi 17 boasts exceptional weight control, weighing just 191g, making it incredibly lightweight. Its four-micro-curved wraparound midframe and subtle transitions create a smooth grip.
The Xiaomi Mi 17 Pro series differs significantly from the Xiaomi Mi 17 in appearance. The Pro series utilizes a horizontal matrix imaging module design, making it highly recognizable. It also features a new "Magic Back Screen." According to leaks, this back screen is made of 8T LTPO material and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering not only excellent display quality but also a more personalized interactive experience.
The entire Xiaomi 17 series will be powered by the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform, featuring two 4.61GHz high-performance cores and six 3.63GHz energy-efficient cores.
In terms of imaging, the front cameras of the Xiaomi 17 series have been upgraded to 50MP. Each version also has its own unique rear camera configuration. The standard version features an OV50Q main camera, an OV50M ultra-wide-angle lens, and a Samsung JN5 upright telephoto lens. The Pro version upgrades its main camera to an SC590XS sensor and features a periscope telephoto lens. The Pro Max version upgrades to a Samsung GN8 periscope telephoto lens with an aperture of F2.6.
