Google Pixel 10 series released, adding AI "photo guidance" function

Google today officially launched the Pixel 10 series, featuring several breakthrough imaging upgrades, including the new AI-powered "Guided Photography" feature. The standard Pixel 10 features a dedicated telephoto lens for the first time, using the same 10.8MP sensor as the Pro series, enabling 20x Super Resolution Zoom. The Pro models, on the other hand, achieve an industry-leading 100x digital zoom through new "Pro Res Zoom" AI technology.

All models are equipped with the upgraded Gemini AI photography system, with the "Guided Photography" feature being particularly noteworthy. This feature analyzes the scene in real time, providing expert advice on everything from composition angles to image settings. Whether it's a food photo shoot or a ski trip, it can create customized solutions for specific situations. For example, in a restaurant setting, the system might suggest a low-angle shot to highlight the layers of a dish and automatically adjust parameters like contrast.

Google emphasized that this feature differs from traditional camera presets and instead leverages the Gemini model to deeply understand user intent. With repeated use, the system gradually learns the user's shooting preferences, helping them develop a personalized photography style. The newly added Best Take feature automatically analyzes 150 bursts of photos and intelligently creates the best composite shot.

For video shooting, the entire series supports 24fps cinematic frame rate recording for the first time, and the Pro models also feature enhanced optical image stabilization and support for 8K video processing. Notably, the Pixel 10 series is one of the first phones to support the C2PA standard by default, transparently recording all AI editing operations. The Instant View feature, unique to foldable models, leverages the large screen to preview and compare shots, further enhancing creative convenience.
