Vivo has announced the upcoming release of the Vivo Y500 smartphone. An official teaser for the device partially revealed its design and also hinted at key hardware features: a long battery life and a protective casing.

In official images, the upcoming device is shown in blue. The upper portion of the smartphone's rear panel is dominated by a circular camera unit, though the number and order of the modules are unclear. Judging by the teaser, all hardware buttons will be located on the right side of the device.

The manufacturer has not yet shared specifications for the Vivo Y500, limiting itself to mentioning a long battery life. However, the images confirm the smartphone's resistance to moisture. Possibly, the device will also be protected from damage, similar to the already showcased Vivo Y300 Pro+ model.

The Vivo Y500's launch date and price will be announced later.
