Pixel 10 Pro XL performance compared to its predecessor

A day before the launch of Google's new smartphone lineup, the Pixel 5 Pro XL, powered by the Tensor G10 processor, passed unofficial AnTuTu benchmarks. The Reddit user who posted the results also compared its performance with the Pixel 9 Pro XL, suggesting that you shouldn't expect a significant increase in computing power from the new chip.

According to sources, the Pixel 10 Pro XL scored 1,140,286 points in the benchmark, compared to 983,628 points for last year's Pixel 9 Pro XL. While the new flagship is 15.91% faster than its predecessor, it's still significantly behind the high-end Qualcomm chip, which scored over 2.5 million points in AnTuTu.

Earlier, results from the Geekbench Tensor G5 test surfaced online, where the processor also lost to flagships from other brands. However, the company has stated that it isn't seeking to release the most powerful chip on the market, as it sets other standards for its smartphones.

The Google Pixel 10 series will be launched tomorrow (August 20).
