Huawei launches new MatePad Air with ultra-clear eye protection and advanced AI capabilities

Huawei's summer product showcase officially launched, unveiling two new products: the Huawei MatePad Air 2025 and the Huawei MatePad 11.5S. The Huawei MatePad Air 2025 is positioned as a trendy productivity tablet, designed to bring AI-powered productivity, ultra-clear eye protection, and the rich HarmonyOS ecosystem to young, cutting-edge users. With the release of the Huawei MatePad Air 2025, consumers now have a new productivity partner that offers both easy office work and enhanced enjoyment.

The Huawei MatePad Air 2025 features an ultra-clear, eye-protecting Cloud Clear Soft Light display. Utilizing a high-precision nano-etching process, the flash point is reduced by 50%, resolving the blurriness and blurriness of traditional soft light displays for a clearer, more transparent display. Furthermore, the Nano Moment technology reduces ambient light by 99%, making it easier on the eyes during daily use. This technology also delivers a paper-like writing experience, and when paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, the writing and drawing experience is even more advanced. Notably, the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro features a new quick access to AI functions and a smart button. A single tap of the smart button at the end of the pen activates Xiaoyi for interaction, while a double tap allows for voice-to-text conversion for quick input.

Xiaoyi is also a key upgrade feature of the Huawei MatePad Air 2025, creating smarter and more efficient AI-powered productivity. Xiaoyi Assistant's AI capabilities can perform document summarization, table extraction, split-screen translation, and Xiaoyi writing assistance, helping users study and work efficiently, making it the perfect companion for writers.

The Huawei Notes and Tianshenghuihua apps have also received multiple feature upgrades, providing users with more creative capabilities. The Huawei Notes app now supports Xiaoyi's problem-solving function, allowing users to circle the question to access Xiaoyi's in-depth problem-solving capabilities and even generate auxiliary drawings to aid learning. It also supports test grading and AI-generated questions, making learning and practice more convenient. The app also supports real-time AI handwriting adjustment, AI handwritten formula recognition, AI multi-person voice transcription, AI smart summarization, and borderless note-taking, making it a perfect learning tool for students.

The Tianshenghuihua app also features AI Smart Color Swatches, which extract colors from images into color swatches with a single click, allowing users to create new works based on these swatches, making daily office use more convenient. The app also supports AI seal carving, allowing users to simply enter the desired text and AI to generate seals in a variety of styles, enhancing their personal style. The app also supports line drawing generation for portrait practice, making it easy for even beginners to get started and quickly master the Tianshenghuihua app.

The Huawei MatePad Air 2025 is powered by HarmonyOS 5, bringing the rich Hongmeng computer ecosystem. It not only supports multiple HarmonyOS PC-compatible apps, including Jianying Professional Edition, Wondershare MindMap, and WPS, delivering a desktop-class experience and full functionality, but also enables AI-powered features like rapid document generation and PPT presentations, as well as one-click summarization. This makes it easy to manage complex documents and files, making learning and office work more efficient.

Other features include an all-metal, seamless design, reduced weight to 555g and a thickness of just 5.9mm. Available in Grass Green, Sakura Pink, Feather Sand White, and Smoky Gray, the lightweight and colorful design makes it both more portable and more dynamic. Thanks to the vertical integration of HarmonyOS hardware and software, including CPU multi-level parallel technology and graphics architecture, the Huawei MatePad Air 2025 boasts over 27% better overall performance than its predecessor. Equipped with a large 10,100mAh battery and 66W SuperCharge, it further expands learning and office scenarios.
