Apple iPhone 17 launch date is approaching, foreign media expect the official announcement on August 26

Recently, foreign media reported that the countdown to Apple's annual iPhone event has begun in mid-August. Although Apple has not officially announced the event date, multiple sources indicate that the event may be held on Tuesday, September 9th. Apple typically releases invitations two weeks before the event, leading to speculation that the official announcement of the new product launch will take place on Tuesday, August 26th.

According to leaks, the iPhone 17 series will feature several significant upgrades. The standard iPhone 17 will inherit the design language of the iPhone 16, but will be equipped with a more powerful A19 chip, a 6.3-inch display, and an upgraded 24-megapixel front camera with the potential for 120Hz refresh rate support. The newly launched iPhone 17 Air, known for its ultra-thin and lightweight design, features a 6.6-inch screen, an A19 chip, 12GB of RAM, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, and an optional battery case.

The iPhone 17 Pro series goes even further. The iPhone 17 Pro will feature a redesigned rear camera module with three 48-megapixel lenses, new orange or copper color options, and may also introduce a VC cooling system. The 17 Pro Max will further increase the battery capacity of the Pro version to meet users' higher demands for battery life.

Since 2020, Apple's iPhone launch events have all been pre-recorded. However, in recent years, Apple has begun inviting select journalists to the Steve Jobs Theater to watch the launch video live and provide hands-on sessions after the event. Looking back at the past six years of iPhone launch schedules, with the exception of 2020 and 2021, when the events were postponed to October due to the pandemic, Apple has typically held the event in early September and officially announced the date in late August.
