According to the latest reports from foreign media, Sony has confirmed that it will hold a major new product launch event between mid-November and early December. Although Sony has not officially released specific details, the event is widely expected to include major imaging products.
Currently, speculation is focused on Sony's new full-frame mirrorless camera. Among them, the long-rumored Sony A7V is the most anticipated model. The camera has been registered in Indonesia under the product code "WW824259" and is manufactured in Thailand, further confirming its imminent release.
According to current rumors, the Sony A7V will be equipped with a 33-megapixel full-frame sensor, but the specific type is still unclear. It may be a modified version of the existing A7IV sensor or adopt a new partially stacked structure. It is expected to be equipped with the same advanced AI processing chip as the Sony A1II to enhance autofocus, image recognition, and scene analysis capabilities. The A7V is expected to follow the Sony A7R V in terms of design, featuring a four-way, multi-angle flip screen and optimized control buttons. However, it will avoid the thickened grip of the A1 II or A9 III, aiming to maintain a compact body. Rumors suggest its price will be close to $3,000 (approximately RMB 21,000).
Additionally, Sony may also release the highly anticipated 100-400mm GM II lens at the same time. As an upgrade to the existing G Master series telephoto lenses, the new lens is expected to offer improvements in optical performance, weight control, and focus speed.
