OPPO Find X9 series' first sale is a huge success: the "Light Chasing Red" colorway is hard to come by

Since the OPPO Find X9 series officially launched on October 22nd, it has sparked a nationwide buying frenzy, with people lining up offline and selling out in seconds online. Currently, the new phones are in serious stock-out, with the Sun Chasing Red colorway being particularly hard to come by.

On the first day of sales, Zhou Yibao, product manager for the OPPO Find series, commented on sales results. He stated that the Sun Chasing Red colorway of both the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro was extremely out of stock nationwide. Furthermore, the Hasselblad photography kit also performed exceptionally well, selling out in just two minutes after going on sale, and even fetching a premium in the used market.

Zhou Yibao also revealed that sales of the OPPO Find X9 Pro exceeded expectations across the board, accounting for over 60% of sales. The previous-generation Pro version only accounted for around 15% of sales. One salesperson sold 14 phones on the first day of sales, yet 18 were still out of stock, demonstrating the market's enthusiasm.

According to feedback from retailers across the country, the OPPO Find X9's offline initial sales performance has significantly improved compared to the previous generation. The Pro version remains highly popular, and the Chasing Red color scheme is particularly popular, even with some male customers opting for this color. This is relatively rare in the mobile phone industry, further highlighting the unique design charm of the OPPO Find X9 series and its broad appeal across diverse consumer groups.

It is worth noting that OPPO has maintained a strong growth momentum. IDC data shows that OPPO has ranked first in sales in the Chinese market over the past decade. In terms of market position, OPPO has consistently ranked among the top five in the global smartphone market for nine consecutive years since 2016, demonstrating its strong global competitiveness.

Concurrently, the Consumer Service Guarantee Platform under the China Electronic Commerce Association compiled data on the cumulative number of complaints regarding mobile phone products from 2021 to the first quarter of 2025. The results show that over the past five years, the Consumer Service Guarantee Platform has received a total of 32,680 mobile phone-related complaints. Among them, the number of complaints received by OPPO ranked the lowest among the six mainstream mobile phone manufacturers in China, with a gap of more than 30% compared with the manufacturer ranked first in terms of the number of complaints. This fully demonstrates OPPO's outstanding performance in product quality and after-sales service.
